Served on Linn-Mar Community School Board and board of directors of the Iowa Association of School Boards. Served as a member of Vision Iowa Board from 2000-2003 and current board member of Liar’s Holographic Theatre and the Greater Cedar Rapids Foundation. Serves on the board of Women in Public Policy. Served on the Value Fund Task Force. Recent recognitions include Pillar of the Community Award from Waypoint Organization, Person of the Year from the Asian Alliance of Iowa, Fleming Institute Fellow, and Elliott School of International Affairs, and Global Economic Conference.
