Served as past chair of Northern Prairie Regional Economic Development Corporation, Iowa's Center for Agricultural Safety and Health Advisory Committee, and Floyd County Water Quality Coordinating Committee. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Wife Denise; two sons. Serving third term in House.
