Obtained B.A. in art and design from Iowa State University. Received M.A. in community and regional planning. Serves on Boone County Board of Supervisors. Past chairman of Boone County Conference Board, Empowerment Board, Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance, and Family Resource Center. Member of Wallace House Rural/Urban Leaders Group, Boone County Board of Health, Boone's Future Economic Development, Tri-County Mental Health, Prairie Rivers Steering Committee, and First United Methodist Church. Wife Sue; one son and one daughter. Serving first term in House.
