Earned B.S. in industrial administration from Iowa State University, M.S. from the University of Tulsa, and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Past chairman of the Republicans of Story County and Ames Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee. Past executive committee member of the Des Moines Chapter Construction Financial Management Association. Member of Nevada School District Advisory Committee, Treasurer of Story County Habitat for Humanity, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and various national education-based committees. Wife Annmarie; two sons. Serving first term in House.
