Patrick Robb
Woodbury County
Born in the town of West Perth, Fulton County, New York, on the 18th of March 1835. In 1852 he entered the sophomore class at Union College and graduated among the first of his class in 1856. After he graduated he taught in a classical school at Poughkeepsie, New York, for a few months. In January 1857, he started to seek his fortune first with friend in South Bend, Indiana, and in May 1857, he arrived in Dubuque, Iowa. In 1859 he edited the Sioux City Register newspaper. He was elected to represent Woodbury County in the Eighth General Assembly, 1860. He became a member of the law firm of Peterson and Robb and later Robb and Day. He was a Democrat in politics. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
