Pleasant Chamber of Commerce, past president of Iowa Restaurant Association, and Iowa Licensed Beverage Association. Former co-chair of Henry County Republican Party Recipient of 1997 Distinguished Alumni Award from Iowa Wesleyan College. Past member of US. Army Reserve 872nd Ordinance Co. Wife Carmen; one son and one daughter. Serving fourth term in House.
