Restaurant owner and former public school teacher. Born and raised in Sigourney. Resides in Mt. Pleasant. Received B.A. from Iowa Wesleyan College. Member of Kiwanis International, Henry County Pork Producers, Henry County Farm Bureau, and First Presbyterian Church. Past board member of Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce, past president of Iowa Restaurant Association, and Iowa Licensed Beverage Association. Former co-chair of Henry County Republican Party Recipient of 1997 Distinguished Alumni Award from Iowa Wesleyan College. Past member of US. Army Reserve 872nd Ordinance Co. Wife Carmen; one son and one daughter. Serving fourth term in House.
