Former member of the Osceola City Council. 2004 president of the Marshalltown Morning Optimist Club and treasurer of the Friends of Marshalltown Public Library. Past member of the Marshall County Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committee. Advisor to the Marshalltown Cancer Support Group. Elder at Central Christian Church. Wife Karen Lischer; one daughter. Serving first term in House.
