Graduated from West Des Moines Valley High School. Received B.B.A. in finance and M.B.A. in accounting from the University of Iowa. Former vice president and general manager of Mid-Continent Bottlers, Inc. Serves as Linn-Mar Booster Club Treasurer. Member of Cedar Rapids Area Chamber and Elmcrest Country Club. Past volunteer instructor for Cedar Rapids Junior Achievement, past president and treasurer of Iowa Soft Drink Association and Illinois Soft Drink Association. Wife Terri; two sons and one daughter. Serving first term in House.
