Also served as state director for Senator Tom Harkin. Member of the Sherman Hill Neighborhood Association, Greater Des Moines Partnership, Wallace House Foundation, Neighborhood Investment Corporation, Iowa Children & Family Services, Urban Dreams, and Wilkie House. Wife Sonja Roberts, two daughters. Serving fifth non-consecutive term in House.
