Received A.A. from North Iowa Area Community College and B.A. cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa. Past president of Waterloo Visiting Nursing Association, Cedar Trails Partnership, and Friends of Hartman Reserve Nature Center. Member of Gates Park Optimist Club of Waterloo, AMVETS Post 31, Area 7 Regional Advisory Board, and charter member of Blackhawk Leadership. Served on Iowa Workforce Development Council as labor representative and on the Private Industry Council. Served in U.S. Army Security Agency in Military Intelligence. One daughter. Served third term in House.
