Born August 30, 1827, in Wayne Co., Ohio, and died November 13, 1887, in Denver, Colorado. He married Lucia A. Roop on August 23, 1850, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She died March 22, 1877, in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Cassidy was a lawyer and a prominent factor in public affairs in the Denver area. He was a prominent man in all ways, but somewhat unfortunate financially. He represented Mahaska County in the Seventh General Assembly.
