Married Elsie Ulland, 1967. Son: Robert Elias, born in 1978. Member: St. Luke United Methodist Church, United Teaching Profession, Newton Optimist Club, Izaak Walton League. Majority whip, 67th General Assembly; assistant minority leader, 68th and 69th assemblies. Fourth term.
