Involved in Korean Conflict for two years. Twin Cedars School board member, 16 years; Mahaska Hospital board of trustees, 10 years; livestock auction clerk, 10 years; 4-H leader, five years; Mahaska County 4-H Youth Committee, 4 years. Honorary 4-H Member Award, 1978. Member: Mahaska County Farm Bureau, American Legion, Chamber of Commerce, and Tracy Christian Reformed Church. Second term.
