Born in Dubuque on Oct. 31, 1945, son of Albert and Margaret Daly Connolly. Attended St. Joseph's Grade School, Farley, Iowa. Graduated from St. Joseph's High School, 1963. B.A., Loras College, 1967 (National History Honor Society). M.A., Loras College, 1976. Teacher at Dubuque Senior High School for 10 years. Social Studies Department head, the last four years. Married Martha Fessler of Farley, 1972. Children: Maureen and John. Member of St. Joseph's Church, Dubuque, Iowa. Veteran, U.S. Army Reserve, six years. Member: Dubuque Education Association, Dubuque Arts Council, Loras Club, Board of Dubuque Child Care, and Dubuque County Democratic Party served on platform, elections and finance committees. Second term.
