M.A. State University of Iowa 1966. Post-graduate studies, University of South Dakota. American Government and History teacher, (1959-1974). Life Insurance Underwriter for Bankers Life Nebraska since summer 1974. Married Emily J. Langstraat of Oskaloosa, 1951. Children: Wendell, Cyndi, Kris. Served in Iowa National Guard, 1951-1953, U.S. Army during Korean War, 1953-1955, Reserves eight years. Member Calvary Christian Reformed Church. Pella City Councilman 1970-1975. Represented City of Pella on the Central Iowa Regional Association of Local Governments 1972-75, Vice-Chairman 1974. Member of Iowa and National Association of Life Insurance Underwriters. American Legion. Third term.
