Graduated from Assumption High School, Davenport, 1960. B.A. (with honors) Notre Dame University, 1964. B.Sc. (ECON.) (with honors) The London School of Economics, 1967. College teacher since 1975 in the Department of Economics and Business Administration, St. Ambrose College, Davenport. Elected Faculty Chairperson, 1977-1978. Legislative Assistant to Iowa Senators Harold Hughes and John Culver, Washington, D.C., 1969-1975. Married Margaret Morris, Washington, D.C., 1973. Two daughters. Catholic. Elected to the Iowa Senate November 7, 1978.
