College teacher since 1975 in the Department of Economics and Business Administration, St. Ambrose College, Davenport. Elected Faculty Chairperson, 1977-1978. Legislative Assistant to Iowa Senators Harold Hughes and John Culver, Washington, D.C., 1969-1975. Married Margaret Morris, Washington, D.C., 1973. Two daughters. Catholic. Elected to the Iowa Senate November 7, 1978.
