Former president Cedar Falls Chamber of Commerce. Member Iowa Association of Independent Insurance Agents, Waterloo-Cedar Falls Board of Realtors, Elks, Rotary, Nazareth Lutheran Church. Recipient Jaycee Distinguished Service Award 1962, 1965 selected to appear in edition of Outstanding Young Men of America, Distinguished Service Award from Cedar Falls Education Association and Phi Beta Lambda 1972, University of Northern Iowa Alumni Service Award 1973.
