Farmer since 1951. Part-time tax consultant 1962-1972. Married Donna Kingland, 1951. Three sons, one daughter. Charter member Worth County Extension Council; past president Kensett Lions Club; former chairman Worth County Democrats; former treasurer Worth County Democrats; Member of Elk Creek Lutheran Church. Father was member of the Iowa House during 1940's. Chairman, Ways and Means Committee, 66th and 67th General Assembly. Fourth term.
