Completed several short courses in labor-management University of Iowa, University of Wisconsin and University of Missouri. Married Shirlene Rimrodt, 1956. Son, Rustin; daughters, Shawn and Shelly. Founder Quaker Employees Credit Union. Past recording secretary Cereal Workers Union. Member St. Mark's Methodist Church. Quaker Oats Co. employee. Third term.
