Former President of Greene County Historical Society. Member: American Legion, Elks, Greene County Farm Bureau, Farmers Union, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Served two terms on Jefferson Community School Board of Education. Former director of Central Iowa Farm Business Association, and CYO youth advisor. Second term.
