Married Nancy Kohrt, Rock Rapids, 1971. Son: Robert. Served on State Executive Board of Iowa Young Democrats 1966-69, Chairman Iowa Young Democrats for Robert Kennedy 1968, William Gannon for Governor staff 1970. Broadcast journalist 1967-71. Protestant.
