Served as chairman, vice-chairman and voting delegate of the Plymouth County Farm Bureau, chairman of the Plymouth County Fair Board, director Iowa Farm Bureau and FS Services. Member: Iowa National Guard. Served as precinct committeeman, chairman of the Plymouth County Republican Central Committee, member of the Iowa Republican Platform Committee. Traveled to Japan to promote good will and the sale of soybeans. Helped negotiate Trainee Program between Japan and Iowa. Wife, Marie; two daughters, one son. Third term.
