Attended Iowa State University one year. Entered farming in 1941, presently owns a 575 acre farm in Decatur County and maintains a herd of registered Angus cattle. Married Betty Sage in 1941. Two sons, and three daughters. Member of National Farmers Union, Farm Bureau, Lions Club. Active in the First Baptist Church, Leon, Iowa. First term.
