B.A. Drury College 1969, major history and political science. General insurance agent with Ed S. Lofton and Sons Agency, Keokuk. Member First Congregational Church, Kiwanis Club, Keokuk Chamber of Commerce, Iowa Association of Independent Insurance Agents, and Iowa Farm Bureau. Active many years in Experiment in International Living. Married Colette Detwiler, of Springfield, Mo., 1972. Chairman Cities and Towns Committee. Second term in Iowa House.
