Attended Aurora College and graduated from Stout State University, Menomonie, Wis. B.S. 1947, M.S. 1948. Director vocational-technical education at Hawkeye Institute of Technology, Waterloo. Farmer 1933-36. Industrial worker and supervisor, 1937-41. All-Steel Equipment Company, Aurora, Ill. Teacher and director industrial and adult education 1948-1965, Waterloo. Married 1951 to Helen Ericksen. Four children. Served U.S. Infantry W.W. II, Southwest Pacific Theater; separated major in U.S. Infantry 1961. Member Congregational Church, Waterloo. Mayor Castle Hill, Iowa, 1960. Member and Officer Waterloo Planning Commission and Blackhawk Metro Planning Commission, and Kiwanis. Served in 63rd General Assembly.
