Married 1951 to Helen Ericksen. Four children. Served U.S. Infantry W.W. II, Southwest Pacific Theater; separated major in U.S. Infantry 1961. Member Congregational Church, Waterloo. Mayor Castle Hill, Iowa, 1960. Member and Officer Waterloo Planning Commission and Blackhawk Metro Planning Commission, and Kiwanis. Served in 63rd General Assembly.
