Served as treasurer Soil Conservation Service of Cerro Gordo County and was on Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service Commission. Director Cerro Gordo Taxpayer's Assn., previous director Thornton Co-operative Elevator. Former chairman board of trustees United Methodist Church of Meservey. Past president Meservey-Thornton School Board. In 64th G.A. Iowa House. First term in Iowa Senate.
