Bettendorf District 79 Republican Born April 12, 1944, in Dexter, son of William and Helen Harvey. Educated in Bettendorf Community Schools. Graduated University of Iowa 1966. BBA degree in economics. Married Christine Bullington 1966. Entered United States Army 1966. Served as helicopter pilot in Viet Nam conflict. Received Bronze Star and five Air Medals. Discharged as Captain 1970. Involved in the construction business in Quad City area since 1970. Active in Methodist Church, Bettendorf Jaycees, Iowa Army National Guard, and Scott County Homebuilders Association. First term.
