Store Manager Thriftway Stores, Inc., at Creston, 1950-1951; Des Moines 1952-1954; field representative Super Valu Stores, Inc., 1955-1957. Member Episcopal Church, Dallas County Koin Klub, New Frontier Club, Adel Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, American Legion, VFW, Elks, Iowa Retail Food Dealers Assn., Farm Bureau, Adel Development Corporation. U.S. Navy 1944-1946, 1951, 1952. Small farming interest. Two terms in Iowa House and first term in Iowa Senate.
