Adel Democrat 29th Senatorial District Born September 21, 1927 in Chatfield, Minn., son of William and Rhoda Rodgers. Graduated high school 1944. Completed 18-month course American Institute of Business. He and wife, Norma, married Feb. 6, 1950, in Des Moines. Children: Pamela Kay and Michael Norman. Supermarket owner operator since 1957. Store Manager Thriftway Stores, Inc., at Creston, 1950-1951; Des Moines 1952-1954; field representative Super Valu Stores, Inc., 1955-1957. Member Episcopal Church, Dallas County Koin Klub, New Frontier Club, Adel Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, American Legion, VFW, Elks, Iowa Retail Food Dealers Assn., Farm Bureau, Adel Development Corporation. U.S. Navy 1944-1946, 1951, 1952. Small farming interest. Two terms in Iowa House and first term in Iowa Senate.
