B.S. in Business Administration, Drake University, 1962. Married Joy M. Chawgo 1961. Three daughters: Denise, Susan, and Kathryn. Member St. John's Lutheran Church, Des Moines; Y.M.C.A.; Drake National "D" Club; Urbandale Planning & Zoning Commission; Urbandale Citizens' Scholarship Foundation; Urbandale Booster Club; Board of Directors, Central Iowa Chapter of National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame; Citizens' Conference on Iowa Courts (now Iowans for Better Justice); Urbandale JayCees President 1969-70; JayCee of the Year Award 1970; Iowa JayCees external administrative director 1970-71; Lions Club. Employed by Metro Ford Agency, Des Moines.
