Attended University of Iowa College of Law, receiving Juris Doctor degree 1966. Entered U.S. Army as combat engineer 1966-68, one year in Vietnam as intelligence specialist. Elected Clarke County Attorney 1968, re-elected 1970 and 1972. Member County Attorneys Assn. and National District Attorneys Assn. Protestant. Married to Natalie J. Green, Falls Church, Va., 1968. One son, Adam Todd Ramsey, born June 1, 1970. Has served as Chairman Fifty District Drug Abuse Committee Iowa Bar Association; chairman Clarke County Memorial Gift Program; Past president and secretary Osceola Jaycees; service officer Osceola American Legion. Chairman Clarke County Republican Central Committee, committeeman and co-finance chairman Clarke County Republican Party. Member Osceola Lions Club, Iowa State Bar Assn., Clarke County Crime Commission and Clarke County Farm Bureau. Elected Iowa Senate first term by special election Jan. 4, 1973.
