Attended University of Northern Iowa 1949-1951. Farmer since 1951. Part-time tax consultant since 1962. Married Donna Kingland in 1951. Three sons and one daughter. Charter member Worth County Extension Council; past president Kensett Lions Club; former chairman Worth County Democrats; former treasurer Worth County Democrats; Member Elk Creek Lutheran Church. Other organizations include: Worth County Historical Society, Worth County Pork Producers, Order of the Arrow, National Farmers Union, North Iowa Area Assn. for Prevention of Drug Abuse. First term, Iowa House.
