Graduated from Ellston High School, 1949. Attended American Institute of Business. Married Rita C. Hewlett in 1957. One son, Clinton Wade, and one daughter, Cherrie Lea. Member of Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Jaycees, Lions. Served 17 months overseas in the Korean War. A farmer and businessman, he has been a committeeman, served in House, 60th, 60th Extra and 61st General Assemblies and Senate 63rd and 64th General Assemblies.
