Lake Winnebago-Worth Counties Republican Born July 31, 1937, in Alton, Iowa. Son of Edsko G. and Myrtle M. Klein, of Northwood, Iowa. Graduated from Alton Public High School, 1955. B.A. degree 1961, Buena Vista College, Storm Lake, Iowa. Served in U.S. Army, Sergeant, Corps of Engineers, Honorable Discharge, 1963. Married Barbara M. Calsbeek of Orange City, Iowa, 1960. They have one daughter, Barbara Hope, 5, and one infant son. Member of the United Methodist Church, Lake Mills, Iowa, and serves on its official board; Lions; State Historical Society; Council of State Government; and Masonic Lodge. Has been employed by Deluxe Products Corp., division of Walker Manufacturing Company, Lake Mills, Iowa, as a Planning Analyst between legislative sessions. Served on the Governors Amish Study Committee and on the Governors Building Code Study Committee. Presently serving on the state-wide Iowa Law Enforcement Policy Committee. First elected in 1966 and served in the 62nd General Assembly, re-elected 1968 and currently serving his second term.
