Special programs and graduate courses at Universities of Southern California, Colorado, Marquette, Pennsylvania, College of Southhampton, (England), General Motors Institute, and Purdue. Director Vocational-Technical Education at Hawkeye Institute of Technology, Waterloo, Iowa. Industrial worker and supervisor 1937-1941 All-Steel Equip. Co., Aurora, Ill. He and his wife, Helen, parents of: Kathryn, 17; Cynthia, 14; Erik, 12; Thomas, 10. Enlisted man in infantry 6 months, commissioned 1942 2nd Lt. Ammo and Pioneer Platoon, Ld. rifle platoon leader, battalion transportation officer,, battalion S-2 rifle co. commander. Military government reserve commander. Separated Major in infantry May 1961—19 years service. Member Congregational Church, Waterloo Technical Society, National Education Assn., Iowa State Education Assn., American Vocational Assn., Iowa Vocational Assn., Iowa Adult Education Assn., American Legion, Kiwanis Club.
