Graduate of International Graduate School, University of Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden, 1955. Foreign affairs assistant to U.S. Representative Frances P. Bolton, 1956-1961. LL.B. degree from George Washington University Law School, Washington, D.C., 1960. Attorney, member Christian Church, Wapello County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations. Third session. Served in Iowa House 1965-66 and elected to Senate Nov. 8, 1966.
