Supermarket owner and operator since 1957. Store manager Thriftway Stores, Inc., at Creston, Iowa, 1950-1951; Des Moines, 1952-1954; field representative of Super Valu Stores, Inc., 1955-1957. Member Episcopal Church, Dallas County Koin Klub, New Frontier Club, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, American Legion, VFW, Elks, Iowa Retail Food Dealers Association, Farm Bureau. U.S. Navy 1944-1946, 1951, 1952. Small farming interest. Serving first term.
