Spring Grove, Minn. Winneshiek County. Republican Born September 16, 1927, in Winneshiek County. Son of the late State Representative and Mrs. C. M. Langland. Graduate of Decorah High School in 1946. B.A. degree, 1952, Luther College. Occupational forces in Italy, 1946-47, and active duty reserves at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., 1950-51. Married Adeline D. Lovstuen in 1950, and they have two children, Steven Paul and Karen Louise. Member of Lutheran Church and church officer for 8 years. Member of Farm Bureau and Northeast Farm Business Association; School Board director of Decorah Community Schools: president and voting delegate of Winneshiek County Farm Bureau; director of Northeast Farm Service Company of Allamakee and Winneshiek Counties. Dairy farmer. Elected to first term.
