Lake Mills Winnebago-Worth Counties Republican. Born July 31, 1937, in Alton, Iowa. Son of Edsko G. and Myrtle M. Klein. Graduated from Alton High School, 1955. B.A. degree 1961, Buena Vista College. Served in U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, discharged honorably, 1963, rank of sergeant. Married Barbara M. Klein, 1960. They have one daughter, Barbara Hope. Member of Methodist Church, Lions and Masonic Lodge. Planner-Coordinator, Minneapolis-Honeywell, Minneapolis Minn. 1963-64; Deluxe Products Corporation, Lake Mills, Iowa, 1964-67, Senior Planning Analyst. Elected to first term.
