Children: Faye Ann, 18; Gilbert Eugene, 16; Kaye Lorraine, 12. Is an electrician. Served in U.S. navy October, 1940, to January, 1947. On U.S.S. Lexington, CVII, lost in Battle of Coral Sea. Member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, T. J. High School Band Parents; Masonic Lodge, Council Bluffs; Excelsior 259; Star Chapter 247; Commandery Abu-Bekr Shrine, Sioux City. President, Council Bluffs Labor Union. Member, Emanuel Lutheran Church. State representative, 59th G.A. First term in senate.
