A graduate of Electrical Interior Communications School, Washington, D.C. Enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1940, serving 6 years, of which 4 years were in active duty in the South Pacific during World War II. Married Julia J. Chapin in December, 1945, Three children: Fay Ann, 12; Gibby, 10; and Kaye Lorraine, 7. Member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 22, Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion. Serving his third term as recording secretary of the Council Bluffs Central Labor Union. Is former Recording Secretary of the Council Bluffs Building Trades Council. Served on the Public Schools Advisory Committee in Council Bluffs. Member of the Lutheran church. Serving first term.
