Beaconsfield, Ringgold and Taylor Counties Democrat. Born May 7, 1932, in Ellston, Iowa, son of George and Lena Anderson. Graduated from Ellston High School in 1949. Attended American Institute of Business in Des Moines. In 1957 married Rita Hewlett of Grand River, Iowa. Has one son. Owns and operates a 1,320 acre ranch, a grain elevator, and is engaged in other business enterprises. Served two years in the army. A member of Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Lions, Farm Bureau. Serving second term.
