Rockwell Cerro Gordo County Democrat. Born at Colesburg, Iowa, August 12, 1904, daughter of James and Frances (Brown) Doran, graduated from St. Joseph's High School and Mason City Junior College, taught in the rural schools of Cerro Gordo and Franklin counties. Married Milton Harold Wolcott in 1929. Two daughters, Sister Mary Fatima O.P., a member of the Dominican order and teacher in Green Bay, Wis., and Rose Marie, licensed practical nurse, employed in Archbishop Bergen Hospital, Omaha. Member and past officer of many civic and social organizations, deanery president of the Mason City Council of Catholic Women, Dubuque Archdiocesan Council first vice president, county chairman of Cerro Gordo County Federated Women's Clubs, Farm Bureau, League of Women Voters, Business and Professional Women, Wig-warn and Wagon Campers, Rake and Hoe County Garden Club; Catholic, member of Sacred Heart Church, Rockwell, Mason City Court of CD of A. Served on Mason City Friends of Libraries Board. First term in legislature.
