Member of the law firm Mitchell, Mitchell and Murray in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Webster County attorney 1959-1960. Webster County Democratic chairman 1956-1958 and a delegate to the 1960 National Democratic convention in Los Angeles. A veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion, Rotary Club, American and Iowa Bar Associations and Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers. Member Iowa Development Commission, 1963. Serving first term.
