Fort Dodge Webster County Democrat. Born in Webster County, Iowa, Sept. 15, 1926. Received law degree from the State University of Iowa at Iowa City in 1952. Member of the law firm Mitchell, Mitchell and Murray in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Webster County attorney 1959-1960. Webster County Democratic chairman 1956-1958 and a delegate to the 1960 National Democratic convention in Los Angeles. A veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion, Rotary Club, American and Iowa Bar Associations and Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers. Member Iowa Development Commission, 1963. Serving first term.
