Army, 1942-46, with service in the China-Burma-India Theater. Educational assistant, Institute of Local and State Government, University of Pennsylvania, 1946-47. Instructor of political science, University of Pennsylvania, 1947-49. Teacher at Grinnell College since 1949; presently associate professor of political science and director of program in practical political education. Married Elizabeth Crosman, 1947.
