A member of the Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Catholic Order of Forresters. Has served as a member of the Budget and Financial Control Committee from 1953 to 1957. Member of the House of Representatives during the 55th, 56th and 57th General Assemblies. Elected to the Senate in 1958. Married, no children.
