Married Pauline Coleman in 1924. They have five children: One daughter, Rhoda, and four sons, Hobart, Robert, Roger and Richard. Farmed for twenty-seven years; one son now operates the farms. Member of the Methodist church, County Board of Education for ten years, chairman for five years; Conference Board, and was on Board for handicapped children for Taylor and Adams counties. Director of a bank. Was director of Farm Bureau and 4-H leader for ten years. Serving third term.
