Toledo Tama County Republican Born Buckingham, February 2, 1926, son of Anna and Robert Johns. Attended Geneseo consolidated school and Iowa State college, graduating 1950 with B. S. degree in animal husbandry. Served as president of Block and Bridle club at I. S. C. Entered military service in 1944, served with U. S. Army Paratroopers in U. S. and Europe. Taught G. I. on-the-farm training at Garwin, Iowa, from 1951-53, as well as being a farm operator. Winner of county and district soil conservation awards. At present is farming and secretary- treasurer Garwin Seed company. Married Isadora Walls, 1947. One daughter, Sara Jo. Member Masonic lodge, American Legion, Garwin Commercial club, Farm Bureau and Evangelical United Brethren church.
