Married Ella Diercks of Mason City, Iowa, February 9, 1921. Four children, Marjorie, Shirley, Audrey and Lee. Farm owner and actively engaged in farming and cattle feeding. Has served as member of local school board, board of township trustees, board of County Supervisors, County Board of Assessment and Review, and County Board of Social Welfare. Served with 2nd Division A.E.F. in World War I, Legionnaire, 40 & 8 member, 32nd Degree Mason, and member of Mystic Shrine. Member of the Presbyterian Church.
