Married Pauline Coleman in 1924. Have one daughter, Rhoda, and four sons; Hobart, Robert, Roger, and Richard. Farmed for twenty-five years; two sons now operate the farms. Member of the Methodist church; county Board of Education for six years, chairman for three years; board for handicapped children for Taylor and Adams counties. Was director of Farm Bureau, and 4-H leader for seven years. Serving first term.
